ALTOUX, A SUSTAINABLE UX-DESIGN BUSINESS, ENTRUSTED ART TO BUSINESS FOR A CREATIVE BRANDING SOLUTION. DISCOVER HOW WE BLENDED ECO-CONSCIOUS VISUALS AND RETRO THEMES TO CAPTURE THEIR UNIQUE IDENTITY.
Alexandra, CEO of Altoux made a request for branding her business Altoux which focuses on sustainable design within UX-design. She didn’t have the time to create her branding herself and even when she had tried, it didn’t really feel 100% so she decided to outsource it to Art to Business who took on the request!
Altoux already had a budget to work with, so we tailored a package within her budget and got to work! Since she really loves sustainability and cares for the environment, it was important that the colors wouldn’t be too much to use up more ink than necessary and that designs to load would take too long and waste unnecessary electricity.
This was a real challenge and we of course needed to use visual elements, but had to design it in a smarter way than before. An example of how we worked with this is that instead of having full pictures as imagery, we used outlines only or white spaces to show things that “aren’t there”
When it came to the visuals, we also went for a more positively colored palette aiming to inspire hope and make connection to nature, while also combining it with the IT and digital aspect. We used retro inspired themes and layouts, with more soft fonts to hint towards growing greenery. You can see this through the elements of a flower and traditional mouse icon.
Before delivering the new branding, we simplified it a bit more to really get that sustainability in as much as possible.
Altoux really liked her new branding and felt like we had captured the brand in a creative way she couldn’t have done herself and thanked us for a smooth process.
