Cask Viking is a company of whisky lovers and realtors producing, buying and selling fine selections of whisky all around the globe to an affordable price tag.

The CEO, Robin Andersson got in touch with Art to Business to design a product label for his next collection. He had designed everything from the website to label himself and felt like he needed a professional’s hand to bring the brand into a more exciting and premium brand.

The goal was to start selling higher quantities and establishing the brand as a leading actor in the industry. Quite quickly, we realized we’d need more than an upgraded packaging and suggested a re-branding to Robin. He listened with a keen ear, saw the potential and wanted to add a website make-over while we’re at it. Said and done!

We grated the visual identity first, working with this moody and dark theme of viking ships heading through the deep seas with their treasures and casks. We choose a primary font with a more antique stamp vibe to it that you’d use for stencils back in the days. As primary font we went with a handwritten, more premium love letter vibe as the company really works close to their clients to bring the right collectors cask into the right hands.

We used textures of wood and waves to add depth to the brand and added golden foil to the product label to push the premium aspect of it. The logo was designed in a stamp format with EST date next to it, containing a ship in the waves of a sea.

We also built the website in two languages and worked with the imagery of the brand using pictures of viking boats, casks and other wooden elements.

Robin was really happy with the results and you can find his whisky in the Swedish Governmental Liquor Store’s assortment (which is really hard to get into and a real feat!)
